JC Nel & Putter has been in existence since 1992 as Du Toit & Putter. The company was established in Welkom and moved to Sasolburg in 1998 as JC Nel & Putter Quantity Surveyors.
The Practice in Sasolburg is currently managed by JW Putter, BSc.QS (UFS), a registered professional Quantity Surveyor and member of the ASAQS. This office has been involved in various projects, including Commercial, Housing, Industrial, Government and Private Developments.
In recent years, to suit the ever-changing needs of the industry, the company sought to restructure and change the strategy under a new name; JCNP (Pty) Ltd.

Jan Putter graduated from University of Free State with a BSc Quantity Surveying, 5 years degree. He is also a registered Professional Quantity Surveyor with over 40 years’ experience in the field. Mr Putter is the founder, shareholder and the current CEO for JCNP (Pty) Ltd.
Etricia is the Chief Financial Officer and Human Resources Manager, with financial and administration training and qualifications, and has over 20 years’ experience working in finance, administration and HR.
Mimi completed a B Sc degree in Geochemistry 2009, B Sc ( Hons) Geohydrology 2011 and MSc Geohydrology 2012 at the University of the Free State. With 11 years experience, she is a member of at the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions, a member of the International Association of hydrogeologists, Water Institute of Southern Africa and the Geological Society of South Africa. She is currently an MBA Candidate that has recently acquired Financial Analysis and Modelling certificate at UCT. She is a JCNP shareholder and Director.
Van Heerden Botha has 14 years’ experience within the built environment, possessing a certificate in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management and Project Management (from University of Free State). VHB is currently serving as Technical Director and is a JCNP shareholder.
Christiaan Pretorius is a Professional Quantity Surveyor and a Director at JCNP(Pty) Ltd, with 10 years of experience. He has a degree and honours in Quantity Surveying from the University of Free State, and he is an associated member of ASAQS and a registered member of SACQSP. Mr Pretorius have extensive experience in managing projects, preparing cost estimates, negotiating contracts, and ensuring quality standards. He is passionate about delivering value and excellence to clients and stakeholders.
